In December 2003, the town began collecting a fee for garbage.  The approved fee was $1.00 for any garbage bag 30 gallons or less.  Over time, a practice of allowing smaller garbage bags for $0.50 has risen.   The town has no policy and has never had a policy for disposal of bagged garbage for less than $1.00.  To align practice with town policy, a fee of $1.00 will be applied to all garbage bags 30 gallons or less.  Bags larger than 30 gallons will be charged $3.00.  These changes to town practice will be effective August 7, 2021.
